I think new technologies are the best way to reach students and engage them in all forms of literacy, both new and old. I wish something this cool had been around when I was in school!
Wes Ford is an Associate Editor of ReadWriteThink.org at IRA. He joined the ReadWriteThink team after a few years of working with IRA books and journals as a Production Editor, a position which bloomed out of a job as a Technical Writer and Editor at small engineering company. His love of reading and writing were instilled in him at an early age by his parents and teachers, and he hopes through his work at IRA and ReadWriteThink.org he might help future generations develop a similar passion for books.
