Helen Hoffner is an associate professor of education at Holy Family University where she serves as the faculty advisor to Alpha Upsilon Alpha, the honor society of the International Reading Association. Helen is the author of three books for teachers: The Elementary Teacher's Digital Toolbox, Writing and Reading Mysteries (Teacher Created Resources, 2006), and A Look at Realistic Fiction (Teacher Created Resources, 2003). Her articles have appeared in various periodicals including The Reading Teacher, Teaching PreK-8, and the New Teacher Advocate. Helen's research projects address the use of new technologies to improve literacy development.
