"Writing lessons for ReadWriteThink has helped me consider students' development as writers and as professionals at different levels. Contributing to the site has also made me a better teacher and a better teacher of teachers."
Marcea Seible has taught college-level writing since 2000. She began as a writing tutor and graduate teaching assistant at the University of Northern Iowa where she received her Bachelors and Masters of Arts in English. In 2008, she received her Ph.D. in English Studies at Illinois State University where her focus was in composition studies and technical/professional communication. Her teaching interests include studies of student motivation and professional development.
She is currently an Instructor of Developmental Writing at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, where she also serves on the steering committee for the Brobst Center for Teaching and Learning Services.
