ReadWriteThink couldn't publish all of this great content without literacy experts to write and review for us. If you've got lessons plans, activities, or other ideas you'd like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

ReadWriteThink is an amazing resource, a true meeting of the minds. This site allows educators who are passionate about literacy to collaborate through time and space and to provide their students with the rich results of this collaboration.
Mya started her professional life in advertising after completing degrees in English and journalism. While she enjoyed the creative challenges of this work, Mya believed that there was something more she should be doing.
That something more turned out to be elementary education. After completing elementary certification, Mya started her teaching career in third grade in Blue Springs, Missouri.
Mya now teaches fourth grade in Saint Joseph, Missouri, where she is active in promoting literacy at her school level, district level, and regionally through the National Writing Project.
