She taught at Virginia Commonwealth University for four years in the Graduate School of Education and currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Literacy Education in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. Dr. Karchmer-Klein teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in assessment and instruction, including a supervised reading clinic for the MEd in Reading program, Internet curriculum applications, and literacy and technology.
