I enjoy researching current, proven methods for effectively teaching literacy, as well as spreading enthusiasm and knowledge of new trends in reading instruction to teachers across all content areas."
Susan Ruckdeschel earned a Master of Education from Nazareth College and an advanced certification of completion from Touro College. She has 16 years experience as a reading specialist and administrator for grades K–12, and now consults and provides training for teachers in addition to writing and publishing both personally and professionally.
Susan also teaches graduate courses for the University of Phoenix Online and has lectured and taught at a number of colleges and universities, including Pace University, Mercy College, and Bluefield College. She is an active member of the International Reading Association and currently sits on the Poetry and Prose Subcommittee. Susan is also a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Northern Westchester Reading Council.
