Contribute to ReadWriteThink.org and Earn Extra Cash This Summer
![]()
Summer break has finally arrived, but don’t relax just yet: ReadWriteThink.org is looking for new lessons!
Reflect on what worked well in your classroom this past school year and what might be beneficial to other teachers—and get paid an extra $100 for your contribution. All lesson types are welcome; however, minilessons and recurring lessons are strongly encouraged.
Minilessons are short lessons that take about one or two class sessions to complete (see, for example, “To, Too, or Two: Developing an Understanding of Homophones”). Recurring lessons are lessons that can be used at various times throughout the year (see, for example, “Building Phonemic Awareness With Phoneme Isolation”).
To receive the $250 stipend upon publication, the following requirements must be met:
- Proposals should adhere to our submission guidelines.
- Proposals should be submitted through our Manuscript Central tracking system no later than July 23, 2010.
- Upon acceptance of a proposal, a full lesson plan will be due no later than August 20, 2010.
Submission of a lesson proposal does not guarantee publication. Contact Becky Fetterolf with any questions.
