Our preservice students are creating manipulatives for word family work such as magnetic letters on a cooking tray or paper-plate sliders with beginning or ending sounds on paper strips that glide in and out of side-by-side windows cut in a paper plate (e.g. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/24136547979633083/) to supplement sessions 2-6.
