ABOUT THIS MOBILE APP

Overview

Engage students and build phonemic awareness by using the Alphabet Organizer mobile app. Students create an alphabet book or alphabet chart with words for each letter of the alphabet. Or choose just one word per letter and upload an image to help early readers make a visual connection between the word and the beginning letter.

Final work can be shared via e-mail or saved to the device's camera roll.

Designed for use in the school environment, this app features a simple profile system so that multiple users can create and store their own theme poems on the same device without confusion.

This app mirrors our web-based student interactive Alphabet Organizer, so users familiar with one can easily adapt to the other. In fact, users can send their editable .rwt files to an email address and then open their poem right in the online tool!

For prep work before working on a mobile device, use blank versions of the alphabet chart and the alphabet letter pages.

  • Students can organize work behind a profile system that stores their work.

  • The Alphabet Organizer makes it easy to write an ABC book.

  • Use the app in two different ways: List up to five words that begin with a particular letter or pick one word and add a picture and some additional text to make an alphabet book.
