I am a UK teacher of primary (age 10 - 11). My greatest challenge with all writing genres is how to effectively investigate and 'unpick' the various features (esp language) of a text and then in turn, create a sentence type activity which will enable the children to demonstrate their understanding them. Any guidance/direction would be greatly appreciated.
