Few of these strategies actually "teach" writing. Challenging a student to write about a topic, or having them peer-edit do nothing to offer corrective approaches. How about actually making suggestions how a sentence or a paragraph could be rewritten? Actually working with students to show them how specific sentences could be revised or completely rewritten is a must.

Have you used this strategy guide? If so, what worked well for you? Did you make any changes? Do you have different resources or approaches to recommend? Share your thoughts here.
