ReadWriteThink has encouraged me to broaden my teaching, adding new and innovative techniques to my repertoire of teaching strategies. It has given me new perspective on how to address student needs and make learning more hands-on and engaging through the use of technology.
Jennifer Neff Bekel holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and Spanish from Augustana College (Illinois). Additionally, she holds master’s degrees in bilingual/ESL education and reading from Western Illinois University. Jennifer has completed ten years of first-grade teaching for the North Scott School District and serves as the district’s coordinator of the ELL program. She is also an adjunct professor for Upper Iowa University. She enjoys collaborating with other educators and employing new teaching techniques in her classroom.
