Maureen Carroll is cofounder of Bay Breeze Educational Resources, a company that develops K–12 educational projects that promote creativity and critical thinking through the use of technology, the arts, popular culture, and media. Bay Breeze has worked with a diverse range of clients including PBS/Thirteen, National Public Radio, ArtsEdge/Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, San Francisco Jazz, Guggenheim Productions, Young Audiences, and Pearson Learning.

Maureen received a doctorate in education, language, literacy, and culture from the University of California, Berkeley. Her published work includes children's literature, textbooks, and academic journals. She is a member of the International Reading Association, National Council for Teachers of English, International Society for Technology in Education, and Giant Screen Theater Association.
