Nancy has been teaching high school English at Revere High School for fifteen years where she teaches Sophomore World Literature, Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, Mysteries, Introduction to Education, and Film and Literature.  Additionally, Nancy teaches in the Graduate School of Education at Emmanuel College, her alma mater, and is a member of the National Commission on Writing and the Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary Education's Knowledge and Skills of Professional Teaching Project Family and Engagement Subcommittee.

Nancy is the College Board Regional Council Member from Massachusetts and a Teacher Advisor Blogger for Scholastic Inc.  In 2006, she won the College Board's Bob Costas Grant for the Teaching of Writing and in 2007, was selected to be part of the USA-TODAY All-Teacher Team. In 2009, she was one of five finalists for the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year Award.
