"ReadWriteThink is a big celebration of books and authors-and the nicest part is that everything is based on theory found in professional reading for teachers. The site allows teachers to stand on the shoulders of authors while empowering children to do the same. It is like one big book club with authors, illustrators, students, and teachers all working and publishing together!"

Before she retired, bringing books to life was a constant theme in Carolyn's classroom, where students imaginatively and thoughtfully approached literature. Books in her classroom had distinguished lives as the stories and authors mentored and guided student and teacher work in reading, writing, performing, and illustrating writers' work.
