"I was amazed by the sheer number of lessons available to educators on the ReadWriteThink.org website. There is such a wealth of innovative ideas and practices available for teachers to use immediately in the classroom. Writing for ReadWriteThink.org has been a wonderful experience."

After a first career in corporate finance, Sharon O. Faulkner decided to pursue a second career in education, completing a master's degree in elementary education at Rivier College. She has spent the past seven years writing curriculum for various clients. For NCS Pearson/Educational Structures, she designed numerous elementary level lesson plans covering language arts, math, science, and social studies. She also recently wrote sections of several middle school textbooks for CPO Science.

Sharon is a member of the International Reading Association and has been involved in her oldest son's school as a Parent Teacher Organization Board member, School Improvement Council member, and chair of the Cultural Events Committee. She is now a Board member, responsible for publicity, at her twin sons' preschool. When designing lessons, she loves to incorporate literature as a means to spark student interest in and enthusiasm for new concepts.
